I mean yeah, I think it's stupid too and completely unfair but just.. why not just switch to FireFox? It doesn't collect data, it's open source, non-profit, free, fast, and syncs across your devices with a Mozilla account. (Click the link in the start menu to download FireFox and try it out!)

 I just found this video on my Youtube reccomended, it's got some really interesting statistics & helpful advice along with being excellently produced! Click "read more" to watch.
